Brooksource is seeking Senior Software Engineers to support a Fortune 100 energy client in designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications. This role will focus on building high-quality software solutions across web, mobile, and cloud platforms while contributing to architecture decisions and engineering best practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–8+ years of software development experience (or 9–12 years combined education and experience)
- Experience developing full‑stack applications and working across distributed systems
- Deep understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) or operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris)
- Strong experience with APIs and end‑to‑end service design
- Hands‑on experience with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Utilities (CC&B, OUAF)
- Knowledge of Meter‑to‑Cash processes, including billing, payments, and financial transactions
- Experience with solution architecture and system design
- Familiarity with CC&B configurations (portals, service scripts, plug‑ins, batch processing)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit, UI, functional)
- Background in building highly scalable applications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience leading development teams and driving technical strategy
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and deliver scalable, cost‑effective technical solutions
- Design, develop, and review complex applications across web, mobile, and cloud environments
- Lead and mentor engineering team members, providing guidance on coding standards and best practices
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design and architecture specifications
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization efforts
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automation initiatives
- Ensure risks and issues are identified, tracked, and resolved appropriately
- Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in technology evaluations and standards setting
- Develop and execute automated unit and UI tests to ensure software quality
- Present technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
