Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Full Stack Developer

Job Overview

MSM Technology, a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) located in Quantico, VA, seeks a Software Engineer for a role based in Washington, DC. This position is onsite and requires a TS/SCI clearance.

• Perform engineering assignments related to the operations and maintenance of the customer system.
• Demonstrate strong programming skills.
• Develop algorithms, analyze, and solve programming problems in support of the customer system.
• Perform manual and automated software assurance reviews.
• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software or systems, including requirements, design, configuration, test documentation, training materials, and user manuals.
• Analyze, predict, and estimate potential consequences of changes prior to deployment of software solutions and modifications.
• Provide scalability, maintainability, and performance documentation before implementation of modifications to the customer system.
• Plan and track information and new development features for future software releases.
• Deliver software solutions in a cloud-based environment, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Facilitate program optimization and performance through software profiling and tuning.
• Assist with software configuration management, including version control, bug/issue tracking, and build tools.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or information sciences.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience with Java and large software development programs.
• 3+ years of experience using Oracle and service-oriented architecture (SOA) interfaces to web-based applications.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
