Senior Software Engineering Leader Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Leader to play a critical role in the development and growth of a next-generation trust and identity platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing code, guiding architecture decisions, and helping scale both products and teams. Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of scalable, secure software solutions.
* Architect and build RESTful APIs and backend services.
* Drive technical strategy and influence product direction.
* Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams.
* Mentor engineers while remaining actively involved in implementation and problem-solving.
* Design and optimize cloud-native solutions within AWS environments.
* Contribute to the development of systems handling sensitive and trust-related data.
* Help establish engineering best practices as the organization continues to scale.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of software engineering experience.
* Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives while remaining hands-on.
* Strong expertise in Java development.
* Extensive experience designing and building REST APIs.
* Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
* Proven track record delivering customer-facing commercial software products.
* Strong understanding of security principles and secure software development.
* Experience leveraging AI technologies in products, platforms, or engineering workflows.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and ambiguous challenges.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with MongoDB.
* Experience with Send Grid or similar messaging platforms.
* Background in identity management, trust solutions, credit bureaus, large-scale data platforms, or correlation engines.
* Experience building and scaling products in startup or growth-stage environments.
