Role Overview
Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) work directly with customers to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions that use data to drive real impact. In this role, you’ll apply your problem‑solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations use their data to solve complex challenges. FDSEs deploy groundbreaking technical solutions, leading the way from high‑level system design and prototyping to application development and data integration.
CoreResponsibilities
- Work with customers worldwide to understand regulatory environments, data challenges, and user needs.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end technical solutions, from system architecture to application development.
- Collaborate across internal teams (product, deployment, analytics) and with external stakeholders.
- Drive real technical outcomes that protect populations, deter violence, and support critical operations.
- Active Full Scope Poly level US security clearance.
- Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front‑end frameworks, and other technical tools.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, Type Script/JavaScript, or similar.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical teams, thrive in rapid change, and iterate with users.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 – $200,000 per year. Total compensation may also include Restricted Stock Units, sign‑on bonuses, and other incentives. Final compensation is determined by individual qualifications, experience, and skill.
