Backend Integration & Platform Application Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a Backend and Platform Application Engineer, you’ll develop backend services that enable enterprise Digital Twin and Modeling & Simulation platforms. You’ll focus on orchestration, integration, and runtime behavior—connecting visualization engines, simulation tools, identity systems, and data services. You’ll work closely with Unity developers, platform engineers, and data teams to ensure clean service boundaries, predictable runtime behavior, and secure system operation.
Build the services that power intelligent digital systems.
- 1+ years of experience with backend application development
- Experience integrating third‑party platforms and APIs
- Ability to design event‑driven or service‑oriented architectures
- Ability to build secure, maintainable backend services
- Ability to solve system‑level problems
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Python, FastAPI, C#, .NET, or similar frameworks
- Experience with REST and event‑driven integration patterns
- Experience with messaging or event systems, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent
- Experience integrating backend services with Unity‑based applications
- Experience with secure service design in regulated environments
Senior‑level roles typically range from $62,000.00 to $ annually. Salary is determined by factors including location, experience, and organizational needs.
