Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participates in Agile ceremonies to receive an understanding of the work, provide estimates and raise impediments
- Will be building high-availability, resilient java-based services for the purposes of processing claims.
- Will operate largely independently coding, deploying, testing, and troubleshooting java-based services.
- Will be responsible for the successful deployment of these services through the deployment pipeline.
- Will be responsible for configuring the pipeline for the successful deployment of services.
- Will troubleshoot systems deployed on Tomcat/Linux
- Will implement distributed systems using a flavor of MQ.
- Will integrate with internal APIs, caches, and databases.
- Will document systems on wikis and ticketing systems.
- Will demonstrate progress in front of their team and management.
8-11 Years
Experience:
- Must have extensive Java development experience creating resilient, highly-available using frameworks (Spring and Spring integration)
- The ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit
- Experience integrating with queues (Rabbit, Active, IBM MQ or similar)
- Experience integrating with Pega is a plus
- Experience creating and maintaining APIs
- Experience integrating with APIs
- Experience developing for and troubleshooting on Tomcat/Linux
- Must have ability to work independently.
- Must have experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services.
- Must have experience working in an Agile environment.
- Must have experience in continuous integration within Dev Ops environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).
- Good to have experience with working on front end applications.
- Good to have experience working with API Management Tools.
- Good to have Experience working with GIT/Bit Bucket.
