Cloud Applications Developer

Cloud computing allows our client to continue modernizing and grow their enterprise with new and exciting projects. We are seeking a software engineer with experience within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The technologies primarily used for this role will be NodeJS, Docker, Terraform, and primarily will be operating on Cloud Run and Cloud Functions. This role will be supporting our conversational commerce track of work, and the candidate will be building solutions to support ordering through different voice ingress points.

The ideal candidate is experienced in developing software enterprise-level cloud environments, with a firm grasp of infrastructure as code, and devops methodologies.

Roles And Responsibilities

Interface with Google’s Cloud Platform to develop, deploy, and support robust and resilient NodeJS applications for internal and external use.
Collaborate with other application architects to design and implement a shared architecture for new applications to be built upon
Work closely with a small team of NodeJS developers to review code, meet requirements, and deliver results
Integrate with the customer application, cloud, and product teams to identify and meet the needs of the business
Identify, prioritize, and resolve bugs and defects impacting cafes & user experiences in the production environment

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience with Nodejs Application development
Minimum 3 years experience with Google Cloud Platform
Experience building containerized applications for Cloud Run
Experience writing quality code using NodeJS and the Express framework.
Experience building isolated applications as Cloud Functions
Experience deploying applications through Spinnaker pipelines
B.S Computer Science (4-year) or greater
Expert-level familiarity with REST API development and integration
Background in Software Engineering required for solving complex problems in an optimized, scalable, and maintainable manner
Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment in the development workflow
Experience with Docker containerization
Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Working knowledge of testing tools and implementations (unit/functional/UAT)
Comfortable with agile scrum methodologies, ceremonies, and tool suites (JIRA)
Skills to communicate and collaborate with other service APIs
Detail oriented, efficient, and capable of working independently
