Senior Full Stack Java Developer

As a Senior Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native, enterprise-level applications for the passenger rail transportation sector. Your primary focus will be on backend development using Spring Boot, Kafka, and databases such as Aurora and Postgres, while also ensuring system reliability and scalability using AWS. You will collaborate closely with business teams to analyze requirements and implement high-performance, full-stack solutions that meet functional and technical specifications.

Architecture and Design:

• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, providing technical insights and designing full-stack solutions.
• Architect and implement scalable backend systems using Spring Boot, Kafka (including stream processing via Amazon MSK), and databases like Aurora and Postgres.
• Create technical documentation, including system architecture, external design, and detailed design documents.

Development:

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Implement real-time data processing with Kafka and integration of AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and RDS.
• Leverage Swagger for API documentation and testing.
• Ensure system performance and scalability through optimization techniques and load testing.

Database Management:

• Design and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant databases with Aurora and Postgres.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance for large datasets.

Production Support and Testing:

• Provide production support and troubleshooting for backend services, including performance tuning and bug fixes.
• Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) principles to develop comprehensive test cases.
• Support system testing, including unit, integration, and performance tests.

Technical

Skills:

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Proficient in real-time data processing with Kafka and Amazon MSK.
• Expertise in database design and management using Aurora and Postgres.
• Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS).
• Experience with Swagger for API design and documentation.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
