Mid-Level Developer

Savvee Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Developer to support our federal client in a hybrid environment located in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will support development, enhancement, and maintenance of application solutions for the client's platform. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable application components, supporting backend performance optimization, and contributing to system functionality across the application lifecycle. One will work closely with senior developers and the Architect to implement system features, support technical execution, and ensure application performance aligns with program requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Developing and maintaining application components supporting platform functionality.
• Writing complex queries and support design of efficient database schemas.
• Building scalable web application features and support backend performance optimization.
• Collaborating with senior developers and Architect to implement system designs and technical solutions.
• Supporting integration of application components and database layers.
• Troubleshooting and resolving application defects and performance issues.
• Assisting in testing, debugging, and system validation activities.
• Contributing to code development following established standards and best practices.
• Supporting performance tuning and optimization of application functionality.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and team members to support system enhancements.
• Communicating technical solutions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensuring development work aligns with long-term system performance and maintainability.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Required Education and Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.

Minimum Experience and

Skills Required:

• Six or more years of related IT experience.
• Six or more years of experience in application development.
• Experience writing complex queries and designing efficient database schemas.
• Experience building scalable web applications and optimizing backend performance.
• Proven ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of how technical decisions impact system performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Required experience with the following technologies:
  Angular, C#,.NET, SQL, HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript, and Less.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
• Must have the ability to obtain the client's Public Trust clearance.
• Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A highly motivated self-starter.
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills.

Desirable but not required qualifications:

• Experience supporting federal programs or enterprise systems.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Experience supporting web-based application development projects.
• Experience working with large-scale or multi-user systems.
