Senior Software Engineer – DoD Role Summary
The Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, enhancement, testing, and sustainment of the BH Pulse application and supporting web services.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance the BH Pulse web application.
- Develop new application features and modules.
- Support survey administration functionality.
- Design and implement software improvements.
- Perform application troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Manage source code and configuration control.
- Conduct testing and validation activities.
- Support mobile device compatibility and optimization.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices.
- Develop technical documentation.
- Support data reporting and visualization requirements.
- Assist with system integration initiatives.
- Ensure application performance and reliability.
- Web application development
- API development and integration
- UI/UX improvements
- Secure coding practices
- Performance optimization
- Application deployment support
- Technical troubleshooting
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with in Department of Defense environments.
- Strong server-side and web application development experience.
- Experience with software lifecycle management.
- Experience with graphic design and user interface development.
