Overview

Service Now Developer (Remote):
Service Now Software Developer with minimum 4 years development experience in Service Now, CSA Admin certification, strong oral and written communication skills and ability to leverage AI in their daily work.

Responsibilities
  • Hands-on experience configuring and developing in Service Now, including form and field creation/updates (backend and/or Studio), Client Scripts, Business Rules, Catalog Items and scripting, group and role administration, flows (Flow Designer), notifications, email configuration, and scheduled jobs.
  • Knowledge of ITSM modules including Change, Incident, Knowledge, and Problem Management.
  • Knowledge of SPM modules including Demand and PPM.
  • Integrations using REST API and Transform Maps.
  • CMDB configuration and development.
  • Service Now data model understanding (tables, inheritance, dictionary attributes), update sets.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Service Now client-side and server-side scripting, including Client Scripts and Business Rules.
  • Design and implement Service Catalog solutions, including Catalog Items, variables, UI Policies, UI Actions, UI Builder / Service Portal, Work spaces.
  • Knowledge of users, groups, and roles; experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting ACLs (Access Control Rules).
  • Experience using Flow Designer, including approvals and task orchestration.
  • Experience with automated testing and quality practices: ATF (Automated Test Framework).
Proficient In The Following Qualifications
  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices.
  • Effective liaison leading technical development teams.
  • Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups.
  • Oral and written communication skills including presenting to management.
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Change Management and Configuration Management (Version One, Service Now, etc.).
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Problem/Risk Management.
  • MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge in AI tools (Git Hub Copilot, Playwright).
Preferred
  • Service Now application development experience in two or more of the following areas: ITSM modules including Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management.
  • SPM modules including Demand and Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
  • Integrations using REST APIs, including data imports/exports and Transform Maps, Auth/JWT, MID Server, Integration Hub spokes, error handling/retries, and monitoring.
  • CMDB configuration and development (tables/classes, relationships, IRE, data quality, and governance).
Additional Required Skills/Experience
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual’s degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
  • Typically performs all functional duties independently.
  • Note:

    Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
Additional Provisions
  • All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women. Place and Period of Performance
  • Hours of support:
    The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week and 8 hours per day, preferably Monday through Friday.
  • Contract staff may be required to travel to support business efforts.
