Position Overview
API/Java/Python Developer – Services Team
This role works directly with U.S. Government customers to provide a comprehensive set of system/software engineering and information technology services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/modernize a Program of Record for all-source Foundational Military Intelligence (FMI).
Security and Clearance Requirements- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active U.S. Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level with a CI polygraph.
- U.S. person status per Export Control/ITAR, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
- Employment for cleared roles is contingent upon verification of clearance status.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python frameworks.
- Build and integrate backend services, data pipelines, and enterprise application components.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, data engineers, and UI/UX developers to implement end-to-end solutions.
- Develop automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes within Agile environments.
- Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across distributed systems.
- Support cloud-native deployments, containerization, and secure software development practices.
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Experience developing applications using Java and Python.
- Experience building RESTful APIs, web services, and backend integrations.
- Familiarity with relational and No
SQL databases and SQL development. - Experience with Git, version control systems, and Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Flask, FastAPI, Django, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience supporting Dev Sec Ops and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and API gateway technologies.
- Security+ certification or familiarity with secure coding and RMF principles.
- Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal government programs.
Pay range for Washington, DC metropolitan area: $137,000 - $182,000 - $200,200 annually. For other states pay is adjusted for geographic cost of labor.
