This is a hybrid role that requires presence at the local office three times a week.

We are a small team of engineers exploring new Auth0 products and features, taking ideas from 0 to 1 and shaping the future of identity.

We are looking for a very senior, knowledgeable Software Architect (P6).

Responsibilities include:

• Implement proof of concepts and demos of new products, features, or standard implementations.
• Lead industry‑wide efforts and protocols (e.g., MCP, A2A) around identity with recommendations, samples, and SDKs.
• Implement samples and SDKs to simplify using Auth0 capabilities.
• Research market adjacencies to inform company strategy, M&A decisions, and future investment ideas.

• Deep understanding of computer systems and problem solving.
• Balance between simplicity and flexibility.
• Ability to understand customer needs and iterate based on feedback.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Preferred: design and architect large‑scale distributed systems.
• Understanding of cost implications of cloud systems.
• 10+ years software development experience.
• 4+ years identity experience, working on cloud services.
• 3+ years developer tooling experience or strong passion and demonstrable taste for it.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between $274,000 and $376,200 USD. For other locations the range is between $244,000 and $335,500 USD.
