Clearance Jobs is aiding their partner, headquartered in New York City, and widely recognized as the industry leader in CPS protection, in their search for a skilled Backend Engineer.

As a Backend Engineer, you will design and implement high-quality features in the backend of a cybersecurity threat detection solution for the OT world, written in Python on a Linux backbone. You will address issues such as performance and scale, work in a team with positive vibes, and be able to influence others and the product itself.

U.S. Citizenship (required for working in Gov Cloud environments)

Location:

Remote (DMV area)

Salary: $180k - $240k (will fluctuate pending experience)

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in server backend design and development of production applications
• Experience in Python
  - Must
• Experience with databases (preferably SQL) - Must
• Experience working on large-scale systems
  - Must
• Networking Infrastructure Knowledge
• Quick learner and team player
• Experience in Cyber Security – Advantage
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools in a cloud-native environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and automation mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership over features, from product design to deployment, including whole feature architecture
• Plan, design, and develop systems with complex performance scale considerations
• Use, design, and maintain the company’s code infrastructure
• Support and enable our AWS Gov Cloud Operations
