Overview
Join Acuity’s team of AI Engineers to help keep people safe and support critical federal missions. Acuity, Inc. is a consulting firm that supports federal agencies in IT Modernization, Data Enablement, and Hyperautomation.
Responsibilities- Implement and deploy AI/ML models using Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks within secure federal environments.
- Build and maintain secure data pipelines for model training and inference in AWS Gov Cloud or Azure Government.
- Collaborate with AI Architects to translate high‑level strategy into technical code and operational artifacts.
- Design and implement MLOps pipelines to ensure auditability, traceability, and model versioning for compliance.
- Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning to optimize model performance for mission‑specific datasets.
- Ensure all code and model artifacts meet NIST 800‑53 control requirements.
- Integrate Generative AI and Large Language Models into existing secure architectures and zero‑trust frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
- 3+ years of experience developing AI/ML solutions in highly regulated or federal environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages within Agile and Dev Sec Ops workflows.
- CompTIA Security+ (required for DoD 8570 compliance).
- Microsoft Certified:
Azure AI Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty. - AWS/Azure Developer Associate certifications.
- AI/ML Frameworks:
Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn. - Tools:
Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, MLOps tools. - Platforms:
Databricks, Spark, secure Gov Cloud environments. - Architecture: API development and microservices in zero‑trust environments.
- Applied FedRAMP Moderate/High baselines.
- Technical implementation of NIST 800‑53 and FISMA security controls.
- Understanding of the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for AI‑driven systems.
Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) or eligibility to obtain one.
