Senior Java Engineer

Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Agile team supporting one of our prestigious government customers in Washington DC. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java applications in a Dev Sec Ops -enabled AWS cloud environment
.

• Design, build, and migrate Java applications to AWS using services like ECS Fargate
  , EC2
  , S3
  , RDS
  , Lambda
  , API Gateway
  , etc.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  , implement Terraform for infrastructure automation, and ensure compliance with security standards like FedRAMP and HIPAA
• Perform system optimization for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate within Agile teams to analyze and implement user stories using modern development principles
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, or scalability issues using tools like Splunk
  , Cloud Watch
  , and Cloud Trail
• Translate legacy systems to next-generation cloud-based solutions

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years or Master’s degree with 8+ years in full-stack development. (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship Or Green Card
• Expertise in Java
  , Spring
  , Spring Boot
  , Hibernate
  , SQL
  , REST APIs
  , and AWS services
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD tools (Git Lab, Sonar Qube, Maven) and IaaS tools (Terraform, Ansible, Docker)
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools (e.g.,
  Splunk
  ) and RDBMS (Oracle)
• Background in cloud migration, Dev Sec Ops  practices, and Agile environments (tools such as Rally
  , JIRA
  )

• AWS Certification (e.g.,
  AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Associate
  )

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
