KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure successful technology development utilizing Agile / Dev Ops methodologies of complex systems and solutions
* Lead entire development life cycles with software engineering best practices, including setting coding standards, performing code reviews, running SCRUMs with JIRA expertise, source control management (Git, Sourcetree, etc.), configuring continuous integration, and continuous delivery systems (Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, etc.)
* Learn / analyze existing codebases / systems for the full stack and develop code as needed to support products and solutions (Technologies include:
Cloud native IaaS / PaaS (Azure, AWS), Web UI frameworks (Angular, React, etc.), API definition (RAML, Swagger, JSON), Backend (Java, Databases, etc.), Integrations (ESB, legacy system integration, etc.)
* Help architect new applications by evaluating technologies working with solution architects and product managers
* Oversight of all documentation to ensure the development team are efficient / effective (technical details, setup information, standards, environments, etc.)
Qualifications:
* A minimum of three years of technical full-stack development experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
* Deep understanding of Full-Stack development, including modern UI and backend coding fundamentals (JavaScript core best practices, object-oriented design, data structures, API design, complex problem solving, etc.)
* Proficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework (Angular2/4, React Js, etc.), backend / AP RESTful service (Java with SpringMVC, etc.), cloud native solutions utilizing Azure / AWS, and Dev Ops tooling platforms (Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, or similar)
* Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, cosmos database, etc.)
* Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
* Applicant must possess or be eligible for a U.S. Government clearance
