Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer
Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to provide technical, engineering, and cybersecurity support across the US Navy Above Water Sensors portfolio, contributing to system development efforts spanning concept exploration, engineering and manufacturing development, test and evaluation, production, and sustainment. This role supports complex Navy radar, combat systems, and sensor programs that operate under multiple Adaptive Acquisition Framework pathways. Responsibilities include performing systems and advanced technology analysis, supporting software implementation and integration, and contributing to engineering trade studies and technical documentation.

Requirements- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess one of the following:
- A) a high school degree, or a GED, and 20 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, and/or test experience.
- B) a bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and 15 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, and/or test experience.
- C) a master's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and 10 years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, and/or test experience.
- Agile Software Development.
- Software Baseline Management.
- Combat System integration.
- Developer resource estimation and management.
- Software configuration management.
- Software systems engineering, testing and certification processes.
- SW ECP development, ship change processes, maintenance, and SW fielding.
- Expertise in software metrics, analytics, tools, and processes.
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
- Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.
$150,000 - $175,000 annually.
