Senior Engineering Manager

The company’s products power accounting workflows, APIs, developer tools, and embedded experiences used by over a million end users through customers across the fintech ecosystem.

With a recently modernized architecture and a strong focus on AI-native product development, the team is building the next generation of intelligent financial operations tools and agent-driven workflows.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager looking to help scale both a rapidly growing platform and engineering organization.

You’ll operate as a player-coach, partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership to drive execution, improve engineering efficiency, develop talent, and establish operational excellence across the team. The role offers a clear path toward broader engineering leadership responsibilities as the organization continues to grow.

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Drive delivery against product roadmaps, timelines, and company objectives
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to prioritize, scope, and delegate work effectively
• Identify and remove execution bottlenecks to improve team velocity and predictability
• Help shape how engineers leverage AI tools and agents to increase productivity and scale development workflows
• Conduct regular coaching and career development conversations with team members
• Develop high-potential engineers and support their growth into more senior technical roles
• Contribute technically as a player-coach while building management and leadership capabilities across the organization
• Help establish scalable engineering processes and operational best practices

• 3–10 years of engineering management experience
• Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping technical products
• Demonstrated success leading engineers in high-growth or rapidly changing environments
• Passion for AI and emerging technologies, with curiosity about how AI can transform engineering workflows
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, and executive stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering talent

• Experience building developer platforms, APIs, infrastructure, or fintech products
• Background working within AI-enabled software organizations
• Experience scaling engineering teams and processes through periods of rapid growth
• Prior experience operating as both an engineering leader and hands-on contributor
• Exposure to financial systems, accounting technology, or embedded fintech products

• Clear path toward broader engineering leadership and Head of Engineering responsibilities
