Work Location: Washington, DC
Work Schedule: 9am-5pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday. This will be a hybrid opportunity, with the requirement to report to the customer site in Washington DC as needed
Position Overview: ZenPoint Solutions is looking for a Technical Lead to lead technical execution, mentor engineering personnel, and drive software delivery across a federal customer's program that provides technical, engineering, and Dev Sec Ops capabilities to optimize, secure, and modernize enterprise software platforms and shared integration infrastructure. Supporting a complex portfolio that encompasses modern web applications, legacy 2-tier systems, Salesforce platforms, and over 300 database instances shipping more than 120 production releases annually, the Technical Lead will design loosely coupled system architectures and drive Dev Sec Ops , automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline innovations across the enterprise
This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and problem resolution across software development, system architecture, and Dev Sec Ops work streams.
- Drive system architecture designs toward loosely coupled system-of-systems implementations utilizing microservices, event-driven patterns, and modular design principles.
- Oversee shared tools, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Nexus) to enforce continuous integration, automated testing, and secure code delivery.
- Implement and maintain software quality logic gates and automated scans using Sonar Qube, Nexus IQ, and static/dynamic code analysis platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to accelerate modern build-and-replace modernization strategies and cloud migration initiatives.
- Lead performance engineering strategies, system monitoring (App Dynamics), and environment optimizations across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Streamline Authority to Operate (ATO) maintenance through continuous security checks and Risk Management Framework (RMF) automation.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on software development experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in modern programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
- Proven experience with enterprise cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency with Dev Ops orchestration tools, including Jenkins and Git-based CI systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Experience delivering software using Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies.
- Ability to mentor team members and to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Experience with containerization platforms (Red Hat Open Shift, Docker) and automation tools (Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform).
- Familiarity with legacy enterprise architectures (.NET, Power Builder, Oracle/SQL Server databases, Salesforce).
- Knowledge of automated continuous testing frameworks (ACCELQ) and performance/logging platforms (Splunk, App Dynamics).
- Prior experience working within federal IT environments.
The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
