Senior Service Now Developer

Client is looking for an experienced Senior Service Now Developer to play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the Service Now platform. You will be responsible for maintaining and performing continual service improvements on ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, PPM, and SPM modules, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software on the Service Now platform.
• Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects for management.
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
• Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on the development team.
• Works with product owners and stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements.
• Documents and maintains functional business requirements, process flows, and business use cases.
• Configures and maintains data integrations between Service Now and other systems.
• Designs, creates, and configures Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, ACLs, Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, and Formatters in Service Now.
• Ensures adherence to Service Now best practices, agency security guidelines, and governance policies to maintain an out-of-the-box environment as closely as possible.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation.

General skills (must have):

• Hands-on experience with Service Now development (ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, PPM, and SPM) (6 years)
• Proficiency in Java script, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs (6 years)
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of implementing Service Now Architecture and Service Now scripting (6 years)
• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment (6 years)

General skills (nice to have):

• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification
• Language skills (must have):
  English Native or bilingual proficiency

Experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
