Senior Python Developer, Serverless​/AWS

• Define and deliver solutions for modern applications on an AWS cloud-native stack
• Lead feature work and own user stories from refinement through production
• Direct serverless, event-driven application workflows on Lambda and Step Functions
• Own integration of COTS products into in-house system frameworks
• Design and ship API interconnections
• Lead data and document pipelines that automate manual, paper-heavy processes
• Build cloud-native modern systems that create business value
• Deliver tested, production-ready code and establish team quality standards
• Build automation, validations, checks, workflows, pipelines, and automated tests
• Set patterns for AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q Developer
• Improve developers through collaboration and mentorship
• Help launch new capabilities, tools, and lines of business

• 7+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Expert-level command of Python
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native development on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficiency with modern languages and frameworks
• Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with automated testing and secure coding
  
  Ability to construct and own the design of a component, and carry it through to production
• Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Sole United States citizenship
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
• Amazon Web Services certification (preferred)
• Serverless and event-driven development experience (preferred)
• Federal information technology experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling (preferred)

Demonstrates expertise in cloud-native application development on AWS, with a strong command of Python and experience in serverless architectures. Proven ability to lead feature development, integrate COTS products, and implement CI/CD practices while mentoring teams and ensuring code quality.
