Software Engineer, DevOps, Cloud Engineer - Software

Clearance: US Citizenship required.

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (VA/DC/MD) — Onsite/Hybrid per program requirements. Candidates must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the DC metro area prior to start.

Salary: $140,000–$225,000 — Commensurate with experience

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting mission systems.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code across the full development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, Dev Ops, and QA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects in existing production systems.
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions.
• Support integration with government systems, APIs, and data sources.

• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/Type Script).
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience supporting missions for DoW, DHS, FBI, or another national security agency.
• Willingness to work onsite in the DC metro area as required.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Gov Cloud).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Experience supporting classified or mission-critical systems.

3–15 years of relevant experience, with placement (Mid, Senior, or Lead) commensurate with demonstrated experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
