For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.
This role will focus on designing and delivering secure, scalable web applications and core business systems that support critical operations in a highly regulated environment.
You will partner closely with architecture, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate requirements into robust microservices and maintainable platform solutions.
The position also emphasizes code quality, mentorship, and process improvement to help strengthen engineering practices and long-term system reliability.
Location:
Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $137,500 – $171,900 annually
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the architecture team to design complex systems
- Lead design and technical implementation for complex systems
- Engage with stakeholders to define and transform requirements into scalable microservices APIs
- Design, build, and maintain sustainable systems for business applications
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices
- Promote and implement process improvements and best practices
- Participate in compliance initiatives and maintain security standards
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software development experience, particularly in secure web applications
- Proficiency in Java and experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
- Experience in front-end development using React and JavaScript is a plus
- Knowledge of micro-service architecture and cross-platform integration
- Strong database skills, particularly in designing and optimizing relational databases
