Senior .NET Software Developer; Costa Rica)

We’re looking for a talented and versatile Senior Software Developer with strong experience in .NET technologies including C#, C#-based web services/APIs, Dev Express, SQL Server, and desktop application development to join our team.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of software from design through production. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and other stakeholders on prioritized project work, new features and enhancements, defect resolution, deployments, and ongoing application support.

This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem.

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Develop and maintain C#-based web services and APIs.

• Write efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code following established development standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.

• Participate in application deployments, releases, and ongoing production support.

• Design and optimize SQL Server database objects, queries, and stored procedures as needed.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of application architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members.

• Participate in technical discussions and help drive solutions from requirements through implementation.

• Experience working with Dev Express controls and components.

• Experience with application installation, deployment, and maintenance.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.

• Ability to balance maintainability, performance, quality, and delivery timelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience using C# and .NET.

• Experience developing and maintaining web services and APIs.

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience working with Dev Express or similar enterprise UI frameworks.

• Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting issues, and delivering enhancements.

• Experience with software deployment and release processes.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and application architecture.
