Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python and REST API integrations to develop scalable backend services and partner-facing integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance backend services using Java 17/21, Spring Boot and Maven
. - Build and maintain third-party API integrations and integration gateways
. - Design reliable API integrations with authentication, retries, idempotency, webhooks, pagination and failure handling
. - Develop and maintain Python-based backend services.
- Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
- Create and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI / Swagger / springdoc
. - Deploy and support services using Docker and AWS ECS/Kubernetes
. - Collaborate with engineering and product teams on integration requirements and production issues.
- 5+ years of backend software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot and Maven
. - Strong Python experience with frameworks/libraries such as Flask, SQL Alchemy, Alembic, Pydantic or Marshmallow
. - Strong experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
. - Experience with webhooks, authentication, pagination, retries and error handling
. - Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL
. - Experience with Docker and AWS ECS or Kubernetes.
- Experience with OpenAPI, Swagger, springdoc or Flasgger
. - Experience with Go is an advantage.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with API gateways and partner integrations.
- Experience with cloud-based application deployment.
- Experience with logging, monitoring and observability tools.
- Exposure to Go / Open Telemetry
.
