Our client is seeking a Sports Data Scientist to help us add value to their NCAA basketball clients.

This position is an exciting opportunity to leverage data analysis to provide actionable insights, support decision‑making within the NCAA collegiate football, baseball and basketball transfer portal. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports analytics, specifically in football, baseball or basketball, a strong foundation in statistical data analysis and data visualization, along with deep sports knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build predictive models utilizing insights from client and sport knowledge
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify data‑driven insights on the transfer portal to collegiate programs
  • Answer ad‑hoc questions regarding transfer targeting
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across several data sources

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Programming experience
  • Proficiency with Python (pandas, polars, numpy) and SQL
  • Experience generating data visualizations programmatically
  • Deep Understanding of sports
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex data concepts to nontechnical audiences
  • Strong self-motivation and curiosity to challenge traditional sports beliefs •
  • Attention to detail for accurate and timely report delivery
Preferred Qualifications

Experience playing or working with college football, baseball or basketball teams
