Role Overview
This position involves providing outpatient primary care services within a correctional facility setting. The clinician will manage a caseload of 8-16 adult patients daily, handling injury treatment, acute illnesses, follow-ups, physicals, chronic care, urgent care, and minor procedures.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive primary care, perform minor procedures such as sutures and injections, and ensure adherence to established correctional healthcare protocols. The role requires prescriptive authority and relevant clinical skills.
Qualifications & SkillsCandidates should have an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board certification (negotiable), BLS certification, a valid Washington state license, DEA registration, and COVID vaccination. Experience in correctional healthcare and comfort with procedures are preferred.
Work Environment & SupportThe role is on-site with support from medical assistants, physicians, and nurse practitioners, providing a secure clinical environment. Credentialing is estimated at 1-2 weeks.
