Liberty School District is accepting applications for an additional full time PK-12 Special Education Teacher beginning with the school year.
INTERESTED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:- Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement;
Additional endorsements preferred - Prior certificated experience teaching Special Education preferred
- Ability to work in a positive team situation
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based special education practices
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide positive behavior supports
- Use data-driven decision making to adjust instruction and interventions
- Understand/implement the essential state/federal requirements for providing services to students with disabilities
- Administer and interpret formal and informal assessments
- Provide progress monitoring and regular updates toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with related service providers (speech, OT, PT, school psych, counselors)
- Support inclusive practices by co-teaching or consulting in general education classrooms
- Provide accommodations and modifications for curriculum, instruction, and assessments
- Maintain accurate, compliant special education records and timelines
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
- Participate in Student Study Team (SST/MTSS) meetings and intervention planning
- Supervise and support para educators and instructional aides
- Support students’ social-emotional learning and self-advocacy skills
- Assist with transition planning and services (as applicable)
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training
- Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment
- Use assistive technology and adaptive tools to support student access and learning (as applicable)
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all professional interactions

SALARY RANGE: $50,841-$101,180 (2025-26 Salary Schedule)

- Medical:
Choice of six medical plans. Employee cost is dependent upon which plan is chosen and which family members are covered. - Dental:

Basic life insurance in the amount of $35,000 is mandatory and is free to the employee. Additional/optional life insurance can be purchased at an additional cost for the employee and family. - Long-term Disability Insurance:
