Qualifications:
* Valid degree from an accredited college or university
* Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements
* Have or can obtain clearance from Washington State Patrol and FBI background check
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in appropriate endorsement area.
* Three to five years teaching experience in appropriate area.
* Multiple areas of endorsement in secondary grade levels.
Knowledge and Abilities:
* Demonstrate effective instruction; facilitates engaged learning; and, can acquire and record quality evidence of learning through multiple types of assessments.
* Demonstrate organizational skills and computer skills necessary for supporting instruction.
* Must understand and maintain confidentiality.
* Creative and caring with commitment to education for all students.
* Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. Ability to take and follow directions.
* Familiar with Common Core Standards and SBAC Assessments
* Demonstrate constructive and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and work effectively with students, parents and cohorts.

* Meet and instruct mathematics classes at the location and the time designated.
* Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities.
* Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for individual interest and learning styles of students.
* Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals by establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and communicating these objectives to students.
* Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy and regulations
* Maintain good order and discipline in the classroom at all times.
* Attend staff meetings, department meetings and serve on building committees as required.
* Work to establish open lines of communication with administration, fellow teachers, parents, and students.
* Meet and confer with colleagues, support staff, students, and/or parents on regular basis.
* Maintain a positive attitude, good work ethic, and demonstrate promptness in work arrival and in accomplishing all tasks.
* Perform other necessary and reasonable duties as assigned.
