K-6 Tech Literacy Coordinator - start 26-27 school year
Grand Coulee Dam School District Lake Roosevelt Elementary - Coulee Dam, Washington
Job DescriptionHours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, M-Th, 160 days per year
JOB GOAL:To expose and guide students through the tools and programs essential to both meet technical literacy goals and become digitally responsible citizens.
QUALIFICATIONS a) Education and Experience- Must have a High School Diploma
- Must have an AA degree or equivalent or have passed the Paraprofessional Assessment
- Must hold a current First Aid/CPR card
- Must pass a valid Washington State background check and FBI fingerprint review
- Knowledge of school board policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the student handbook
- Knowledge of OSPI Educational Technology standards
- Knowledgeable with how computers function
- Required knowledge in Google, Microsoft Office; preferred additional experience with ADOBE software, and other educationally relevant computer programs
- Ability to learn new programs and attend trainings as needed that are essential to school, district and state requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop rapport with students as individuals in a professional manner
- Ability to be flexible to possible changes in school schedule
- Ability to work with multiple supervisors and district staff
- Ability to work with individual students and whole groups which may include at risk or special needs youth, while maintaining a positive educational environment
- Ability to learn new programs and attend trainings as needed that are essential to school, district and state requirements
- Must be reliable, responsible and organized
- Must be a self-starter and can work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to work both collaboratively and independently
- Maintain effective working relationships with other people
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
- Work effectively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written expression
- Must possess interpersonal skills with students
- Work with classroom teacher/team to create opportunities that extend/expand classroom lessons and meet educational technology standards
- Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot some technical issues
- A willingness to meet the diverse needs and ability level of students
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal
This position is classified and compensated in accordance with the current Classified Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Salary placement shall be based on the applicable classified salary schedule and step placement as outlined in the CBA.
The position includes benefits as provided under the Classified CBA and Washington State School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) program, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and leave benefits in accordance with district policy and applicable state law.
