The Mabton School District is seeking a high-energy, visionary leader ready to drive academic excellence and foster a culture of impact. We need a Principal who is ready to move the work forward, putting students first in every decision while engaging our vibrant community to achieve measurable results.
Key Qualifications- Certification: Valid WA State Teacher’s certificate and WA State Principal’s Credential.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of successful K-12 administrative experience;
experience in grades 6-12 preferred
. - Bilingualism:
Biliterate in English and Spanish is highly preferred to effectively serve our community. - Community Expertise: Proven track record of successful work within diverse and migrant communities

- Visionary Leadership: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative programs and think creatively to actualize a bold vision for the school.
- Instructional Expertise: A solid, sophisticated understanding of teaching and learning, with experience in the Danielson Framework and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
- Systems Thinker: Ability to understand, implement, and manage complex systems (MTSS, Tier 2/3 interventions) to ensure support and accountability for all.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team player who works cooperatively with staff, students, and administrators to build a cohesive culture.
- Results-Oriented: Strong administrative skills in budgeting and planning, with the grit to take timely action and solve problems under pressure.
- Exceptional Communication & Follow-Through: An articulate communicator who not only shares the "why" behind initiatives but also ensures rigorous follow-through to turn plans into tangible results.
- Drive Student Success: Provide strong instructional leadership to ensure all students meet or exceed academic standards.
- Community Engagement: Act as a visible champion for the school, clearly communicating the District’s mission to all stakeholders and fostering strong community partnerships.
- Provides strong executive leadership by actively supporting the Superintendent and Board of Directors' goals and initiatives, and participating as an engaged member of the leadership team.
- Promotes and communicates the District’s mission, vision, and goals by effectively communicating support service efforts across the district to various stakeholders to ensure an excellent customer service environment; clearly and succinctly communicates district information to community stakeholders.
- Provide strong instructional leadership to facilitate opportunities for all students to meet or exceed academic standards.
- Oversee and manage school administrative functions to maintain safe and efficient school operations within district guidelines.
- Supervise personnel, monitor student performance, provide for professional growth, and achieve the overall objectives of the district's instructional program.
- Facilitate communication between employees, students, and/or parents/guardians, community, colleagues, and students.
- Recommend staff placement to the Employee Services Department for action.
- Evaluate staff to achieve standards, maximize performance, and maintain safety.
- Process student disciplinary and corrective actions and related matters for the purpose of documenting such actions and adhering to district policies and law.
- Recommend policies, procedures, and actions to provide district personnel with direction and/or data for decision making.
- Supervise student activities outside of the school day to ensure adequate student supervision.
