Job SummaryThe Physical Education Teacher at Beverly Park Elementary School will develop and deliver age‑appropriate physical education programs designed to enhance students’ physical, social, and emotional development. The role involves teaching team and individual sports, coordinating indoor and outdoor activities, and promoting inclusive participation for all learners.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement curriculum‑aligned physical education lessons and activities for elementary‑grade students.
- Teach and demonstrate team sports (volleyball, baseball, basketball) and individual activities such as calisthenics, gymnastics, and corrective exercises.
- Organize, lead, and referee indoor and outdoor games, ensuring safety and student engagement.
- Use gymnastic and training apparatus (e.g., trampolines, weights) safely and effectively.
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of students with disabilities and ensure inclusive participation.
- Current Washington State Teacher’s certificate with PE endorsement.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
- Pass post‑hire physical assessment and provide required certificates, licenses, endorsements, permits, and vaccines (no exemption).
- Criminal background clearance.
