The Opportunity
The Mabton School District is seeking a high-energy, visionary leader ready to drive academic excellence and foster a culture of impact. We need a Principal who is ready to move the work forward, putting students first in every decision while engaging our vibrant community to achieve measurable results.
Key Qualifications
* Certification:
Valid WA State Teacher's certificate and WA State Principal's Credential.
* Experience:
Minimum 3 years of successful K-12 administrative experience; experience in grades 6-12 preferred.
* Bilingualism:
Bilingual/Biliterate in English and Spanish is highly preferred to effectively serve our community.
* Community Expertise:
Proven track record of successful work within diverse and migrant communities.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative programs and think creatively to actualize a bold vision for the school.
* Instructional Expertise: A solid, sophisticated understanding of teaching and learning, with experience in the Danielson Framework and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).

Ability to understand, implement, and manage complex systems (MTSS, Tier 2/3 interventions) to ensure support and accountability for all.
* Collaborative Spirit: A team player who works cooperatively with staff, students, and administrators to build a cohesive culture.
* Results-Oriented:
Strong administrative skills in budgeting and planning, with the grit to take timely action and solve problems under pressure.
* Exceptional Communication & Follow-Through:
An articulate communicator who not only shares the "why" behind initiatives but also ensures rigorous follow-through to turn plans into tangible results.

Provide strong instructional leadership to ensure all students meet or exceed academic standards.
* Community Engagement:
Act as a visible champion for the school, clearly communicating the District's mission to all stakeholders and fostering strong community partnerships.
Qualifications
Required:
* Valid WA State Teacher's certificate and valid WA State Principal's Credential
* Demonstrated successful K-12 administrative experience;
Principal experience preferred
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative programs, think creatively, and use collaboration to actualize ideas
* Knowledge and experience in improving student achievement based on state and national learning standards, school improvement plan, and all other state requirements
* Knowledge and experience in leading Professional Learning Communities to ensure support and accountability for all staff and students
* Knowledge and experience in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, including the use of both academic and behavior Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions
* Knowledge and experience working with diverse student populations, including students in alternative settings, special needs, English language learners (ELL), and highly capable students
* Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and successfully with staff, students, patrons, and administrators
* Demonstrated leadership and experience in supervision and evaluation of staff; preference for prior experience utilizing the Danielson Framework for teacher evaluation
* Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and work well under pressure
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Support and communicate district philosophy
* Demonstrated ability to use technology to enhance instruction and classroom and school management
* Strong administrative skills including supervision, budgeting, planning, organization, and goal-setting skills appropriate to manage personnel and programs, communicate effectively, utilize existing resources, engage in shared decision making, take timely action using sound judgment, and solve problems
