Location: Chelan
The Lake Chelan School district is seeking dedicated and passionate staff to support students in our summer school program. Paraeducators will work with students and the classroom teacher to reinforce essential academic skills, and promote positive learning experiences in a focused, engaging environment. The positions will be assigned based on experience.
Schedule and Work Site- Work with students Monday through Thursday, from July 13
-30th, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Student attendance hours are 8:00 am - 11:30 am. - Report to Morgen Owings Elementary
- 2 additional hours to assist with set-up.
- Salary range is $20.62 - $24.28 per hour dependent upon prior school district experience in the same job classification. (An additional 75 cents per hour is available for an individual with an AA degree, 1 dollar per hour for a BA degree and 25 cents per hour for 100 clock hours.)
- FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance
- Ability to lead/co-lead ELA/Math centers and STEM activities
- Organizational skills to plan and implement activities
- Take the initiative to meet student needs as they become evident
- Ability to collaboratively de-brief learning and identify next steps with co-teacher
- Support experience at the Elementary or Secondary level preferred
- Ability to provide encouragement and social emotional support to students
- Positive attitude and collaborative team member
