Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working in school-based settings with students who have a range of disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs
- Positive, flexible attitude and commitment to professional growth
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Use research-based instructional strategies to support academic and behavioral success
- Maintain accurate records for compliance and progress tracking
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
