- Serve as building leader for 6th–8th grades, assisting in student and building issues.
- Provide leadership to build and sustain a culture for continuous improvement and maximize student learning.
- Maintain quality of school climate and conditions for learning.
- Support social‑emotional learning, PBIS, and MTSS in student success.
- Support teacher development using the 5D+ evaluation protocols.
- Guide integration of technology in the educational program.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.
- Identify and strengthen supports to improve student achievement using data and enhance parent/family engagement.
- Provide staff development to meet diverse learning needs and promote recognition.
- Manage organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, equitable learning environment.
- Collaborate in design and implementation of district initiatives, student attendance, discipline, shared staff supervision/evaluation, extracurricular supervision, SIP participation, student handbook, juvenile services, building/safety, crisis/emergency plans, supervision schedules, ASB oversight, vocational/CTE program coordination, day‑to‑day operations.
- Serve as member of the Administration Team.
- Maintain accurate records and reports per law and district operations.
- Valid Washington State Principal certification and teaching certificate.
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration or related field (preferred).
- Successful middle‑level principal experience or comparable experience (preferred).
- Minimum three years elementary teaching experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of CEL 5D+ teacher development and evaluation.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and lead staff and students.
- Competent problem‑solving and data‑informed decision making.
- Experience with MTSS, PBIS, and social‑emotional learning.
- Experience in technology integration and instructional technology leadership.
- Ability to develop and implement programs to meet state and district goals.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of CTE/Vocational program management (preferred).
- Bilingual Spanish (highly preferred).
Placement will be on the District Principal/Administrator salary schedule. Contracts begin July 1, 2026, 215 working days, 5 TRI days, with possibility of up to 12 additional per diem compensated days.
