Position Overview
Part‑time appointment in Interactive Arts at the Interactive Arts Program of Maryland Institute College of Art.
Summary of Essential FunctionsThe faculty position will teach a minimum of 3 credits per semester, covering various levels of the undergraduate program and media such as interactive and/or responsive installations. Faculty are expected to maintain an active professional practice and contribute meaningfully to the department and college. In addition to teaching, all part‑time faculty are expected to pursue research and/or professional engagements that contribute to the educational mission of the department and college.
Requirements- BFA/MFA degree or professional equivalent qualification in a related art field.
- Knowledge or experience in interaction, immersion, installations.
- General proficiency in coding, electronics, projections, generative art, or sound.
- Successful completion of a full background check.
- Experience teaching at the college level beyond graduate assistantships is preferred.
Conditions:

Occasional standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, balancing, stooping. The employee may occasionally lift up to a specified amount of pounds. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
