Description of Position and Application Process
.8 FTE Counselor, Certificated, at Mary Purcell Elementary School. Position is an existing position with a continuing contract to begin with School Year (SY) 2026-27, effective August 26, 2026. Position will work 7.5 hours per day, 4 days per week. Hours of the position are 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m, with weekly schedule to be determined, minus a half hour unpaid meal break (Paid at 7.00 hours per day x 4 days = .8 FTE).
Applicants must meet Washington State Certification requirements in order to apply. Preferred multilingual education or ELL endorsed. Position supported by the SWEA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Benefits as per the SWEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary range is $71,939 - $140,816 DOE plus applicable SY 2026-27 COLA.
Seeking a strong supportive member for our MTSS/Ci3T leadership team, with Elementary school experience, well organized, able to lead teams through student support meetings, with an understanding of family outreach and community resources and managing 504 plans.
Special Instructions: K-6 counselor with excellent people skills. Must be self-motivated and able to be proactive with problem solving skills and managing multiple tasks and situations simultaneously. Must work well with administration as part of our student response team. Must be able to support families and provide guidance as needed.
