Summary
This is a 1:1 Para position with a visually impaired kindergarten student for the 26-27 school year. The work schedule will be 6.5 hours/day, Monday - Friday. Hourly salary based on experience per the PSE CBA.

OUR DISTRICT
The Sultan School District is one of the larger geographical school districts in the Puget Sound area, consisting of approximately 325 square miles. Sultan School District has approximately 2,200 students enrolled K-12. Students are currently served by two elementary schools, a middle school, a high school and an alternative high school; and the Sno-Isle Skills Center, a cooperative vocational technical school.

* Audio formats
* Tactile graphics
* Learn or assist with:
* Braille
* Orientation and mobility basics
* Use of assistive technology
* Describe visual information (e.g., pictures, board work)
* Help the student navigate:
* Classroom
* Playground
* Cafeteria routines
* Encourage the child to:
* Try tasks independently
* Build confidence and self-help skills
* Facilitate interaction with peers
* Work closely with:
* Classroom teacher
* Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
