Special Education Para educator
Educational Service District 112 is recruiting for a Special Education Para educator to serve Hilltop Middle School in the Ocean Beach School District. The position is 32.5 hours per week, school year schedule.
The full salary range for this position is $21.27 - $26.31 per hour. Offers are made at the beginning of the range.
Reporting directly to the Special Education Teacher, the Special Education Para educator is responsible for supporting and assisting students with disabilities in various school settings. The Special Education Para educator, consistent with the individual education plan (IEP) or individual family service plan (IFSP) assists the Special Education Teacher with lesson plan preparation; one-on-one and small group instruction; classroom management; student observation and assessment;
and communication with parents and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree (note: if offered a position, official transcripts are required prior to start date) OR
- 48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university (note: if offered a position, official transcripts are required prior to start date); OR
- Passing score of 455 on the Para Pro Assessment; OR
- Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR
- 65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Para educator Online Training Program.
