The Elma School District is seeking applications for the following classified position:
Elma Elementary School Interpretation & Translation Services (Fridays ONLY) Date Posted07/10/2025
Salary Schedule Rate Range- $25.23-$28.98
- Will be updated per EESP CBA Salary Schedule
- One (1) day per week – Fridays ONLY
- 5.5 hours per day
- Twelve (12) Days of Sick Leave per school year
- Two (2) Personal Leave Days per school year
This position provides interpretation and translation services for parent/guardian meetings on Fridays only. The role supports clear communication between families and district staff during meetings and related school communications.
Minimum Qualifications- High School diploma or GED
- WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
- Meets on of the following NCLB definition
- A two-year Associate's Degree
- 72-quarter or 48-semester college credits, or
- A passing score of 455 on the ETS Para Pro Assessment
- Demonstrated competence in basic academic/communication skills appropriate to site assignment
- Positive and flexible attitude with students, staff, parents, and team members
- Clear communication skills
- Must be fluent in Spanish, oral and written
- Willingness to work toward successful demonstration of core competencies
- Ability and willingness to assist students with physical, behavioral, developmental, communication, health, or learning needs
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- The safety and health of students and others is an essential function of this position
- Perform other school related duties as needs
- Experience working with special needs students
- Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral adjustment difficulties
- Experience working with autistic students and willingness for additional training
- Work as a team player
