Location: Taholah

Taholah High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and foster a love for learning. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and the school curriculum.
  • Teach a variety of math courses, including but not limited to Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall mission of the school.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or tutoring programs, to further support student learning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school level.
  • Proven experience in teaching high school math, with a strong understanding of curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development in the field of education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student success.
