WORKING ENVIRONMENT: MENTAL DEMANDS Required to deal with a wide range of student, staff, and public behaviors and needs in a positive and service-oriented manner. May occasionally deal with distraught or difficult students or parents. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Amount of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and twisting will vary depending on the age of students and classroom assignments. Physical capabilities also require lifting and carrying (no more than 50 lbs.)
pushing and/or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and significant finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires approximately 35% sitting, 35% walking, and 30% standing. Maintaining good hygiene is essential.
