Job

Overview

Assist with implementing Incredible Years (IY), a 14 session based curriculum designed to enhance parenting skills of toddlers and preschoolers.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ability to work with diverse clients
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to motivate participants
  • Experience working with parents/caregivers of children ages 1 through 5
  • Exhibit an enthusiasm for family skill-building programs and the ability to engage with participants
  • Ability to be flexible with individuals and activities
  • Willingness to prepare before the session in order to lead effectively
  • Assist with light meal prep for class sessions
  • Willingness to teach the program as designed with fidelity
  • Willingness to fill out any requested reports and collect participant data
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be trained in Incredible Years (IY) – training will be provided to committed facilitators
  • Successfully pass a Washington State Patrol Background Screening (or similar agency)
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
Work Conditions

General office environment, school settings and community functions. Late afternoon/early evenings are required

Required Physical Abilities

Must be physically able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to reach, push and pull with arms and hands. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
