Play & Grow Facilitator – Bilingual English/Spanish

Job Overview:
Facilitate (in Spanish) a weekly one-hour caregiver/child drop-in playgroup. Play & Grow is designed for parents/caregivers and their children (either babies or toddlers). These groups will include songs, playtime with baby/toddler, and discussions on development, feeding, sleep, and other related topics.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Professional work habits (punctual, responsive, organized, attention to details)
- Strong group facilitation skills
- Ability to work with diverse participants
- Experience working with parents/caregivers and children ages birth through 5
- Exhibit an enthusiasm for family support programs and the ability to engage with participants
- Ability to be flexible with individuals and activities
- Willingness to prepare before the session in order to lead effectively
- Assist with room set up and clean up
- Willingness to fill out any requested reports and collect participant data
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience with and knowledge of early childhood development and/or parenting education and support.
- Successfully pass a Washington State Patrol Background Screening (or similar agency)
- Fluent in Spanish
Work Conditions:
- General office environment, school settings and community functions.
- Depending on the schedule of the group, weekends or evenings may be required
Required Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to reach, push and pull with arms and hands.
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
