Position: High School Lunch Duty Monitor
Location: Concrete High School
Classification: Classified, Part-Time
Reports To: Building Principal or Designee
Schedule: School Year;
Hours scheduled during student lunch periods
Position Summary:
Concrete School District is seeking a reliable and responsible individual to supervise students during high school lunch periods. The Lunch Duty Monitor helps maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment in the cafeteria and surrounding areas while supporting school behavior expectations.
Essential Duties:
- Supervise students in the cafeteria and designated lunch areas.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment during lunch periods.
- Enforce school rules and behavior expectations.
- Monitor cafeteria, commons, hallways and entrances near the lunch area as assigned.
- Address minor behavioral concerns and report concerns to administration.
- Encourage students to keep lunch areas clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively with high school students.
- Strong communication and supervision skills.
- Ability to follow district policies and directions from school administration.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to visually monitor large areas and groups of students.
- Ability to respond quickly to student situations if needed.
Terms of Employment:
Part-time classified position with hours aligned to the student lunch schedule. Compensation and conditions of employment are in accordance with district policies and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
