Wage Range for 1.0 FTE (Salaries are stated as an estimate only. Actual salary is confirmed only upon hire/job offer.): $61,925 - $114,589 DOE

Employees are paid the last working day of each month.

The Support Teacher provides targeted, small-group and individual instructional support to students in social-emotional learning (SEL) and mathematics, working alongside classroom teachers to strengthen outcomes for all learners, including students who need additional scaffolding to access grade-level instruction. This position directly supports the goals of Chimacum Creek Primary's School Improvement Plan (SIP), contributing to a whole-child, developmentally responsive learning environment and to collaborative, data-informed instruction across the school.

The employee works with a high level of independence and professional discretion under the general supervision of a designated school administrator. The employee’s work is governed, controlled, and evaluated by acceptable professional practice, school and district policies and regulations, provisions of Washington Administrative Code and Revised Code of Washington, direction of the supervisor, and performance standards and expectations as set forth in the collective bargaining agreement.

• Education Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.

  Current Washington State Teacher’s Certificate (Early Childhood endorsement preferred)
• Experience Experience in inclusive learning settings is strongly preferred. Familiarity with inclusive practices and differentiated instruction is highly valued.

• Provide direct instruction and coaching to individual students and small groups on self-regulation, social problem-solving, and emotional awareness skills.
• Support implementation of whole-child, play-based learning practices in classrooms, consistent with the SIP's developmental learning goal.
• Partner with classroom teachers to identify students who would benefit from additional SEL support and co-develop strategies for the classroom setting.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom and school climate that supports student belonging and engagement.

• Deliver small-group and individual math intervention and enrichment aligned to current classroom instruction and grade-level standards.
• Use ongoing progress-monitoring data to adjust groupings, pacing, and instructional strategies for students receiving math support.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers on differentiated math instruction for students below, at, and above grade-level expectations.

• Participate actively in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings
• Bring student‑level SEL and math data to PLC discussions to help teams identify trends and plan targeted next steps.
• Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, specialists, and families regarding student progress in supported areas.

• Maintain accurate records of services provided, student progress, and intervention data.
• Participate in school‑wide initiatives connected to the SIP, staff meetings, and relevant professional development.
