Overview
A Snapshot of Your Day The Wind Technician performs planned and unplanned maintenance including troubleshooting and replacement of parts if necessary, in a safe and professional manner on Wind Turbines. Detailed records and parts used must be completed for all work performed. Technicians report to site management and communicate needs and/or safety issues that arise. Perform first class work on preventive maintenances to be completed on time and right the first time.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the service and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at our Lower Snake River site in Pomeroy, WA.
- Provide exceptional service to our customers, effectively analyzing and responding to challenging and hazardous situations.
- The working environment involves working inside the wind turbine enclosure at an elevated height of approximately 300 feet.
- Extensive training and testing will be provided, covering both safety protocols and technical job requirements.
- Physical requirements of the job include, but are not limited to: climbing ladders (minimum of 267 steps), ascending stairs, standing for extended periods, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, working above shoulder height, pushing, pulling, and exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions.
- Capable of efficiently taking on additional roles and responsibilities at an operating wind farm.
