About The Role

At EKFB we’re shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall) bring specialist expertise in design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects.

We’re looking to recruit a Landscape Clerk of Works to join our team based at the Greatworth to Southam section of works.

In this role you will oversee the delivery of landscape design packages, ensuring quality adherence to specification, checking workmanship and materials, and ensuring that all design requirements are met. You will also assist in the management oversight of early landscape and ecology mitigation areas, attend programme meetings, audit and check works, and support payment applications.

You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and designs to facilitate delivery through site teams and subcontractors, managing delivery tracking and progress reporting, reporting against ITP criteria, and unblocking barriers to delivery ahead of potential delays. You will also assist in the design change process, liaising with designers and stakeholders to close out changes on tight timescales, and understand design requirements in terms of the Environmental Statement and relevant U&As.

Part of this role is ensuring the inclusion of key landscape design elements, checking that health and safety and ecology requirements are met, contributing to the assurance that the design specification (SCEW) requirements are adhered to on site, and providing evidence to assist in the management of early warnings and general communications with subcontractors.

In addition, you will assist in maintaining programmes for reporting and demonstrating compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice. Assist with implementing BS EN ISO
14001 certification and auditing against the standard and internal procedures. Work in collaboration with the wider Environmental Team, client, designers, community, stakeholders and public relations managers to ensure the programme is achieved, and actively promote good practice relating to environmental management & sustainability.
